Borja Martínez is a Spanish architect, born in 1992. He graduated from the Technical School of Architecture in San Sebastián and pursued further studies at the Technical School of Architecture in Madrid. The early years of his career were shaped in Paris at the renowned Japanese firm Kengo Kuma & Associates, where he contributed to international projects such as the New Hans Christian Andersen Museum in Denmark and the Doctor Leila Mezian Museum in Morocco. This experience profoundly influenced his architectural approach, rooted in the belief that a meticulously crafted detail can unveil the very soul of a project.
In 2023, Borja co-founded Interplay Architects after winning the competition for the Polish pavilion at the 2025 World Expo in Osaka. With a clear international vision, Interplay explores innovative expressions and creative uses of materials, believing that architectural quality emerges from the complex interplay of various components and systems.
Lafarge has been operating in Poland since 1995. Currently, we employ nearly 1,500 people in almost 50 plants. We are part of the global Holcim Group.
Lafarge in Poland produces innovative and sustainable construction solutions. The basis for their creation is the production of cement, aggregates and concrete – basic raw materials for the production of building materials. While running our business, we implement a sustainable development policy defined in four pillars: climate, circular economy, water and nature, as well as people and communities. We combine industrial activity with respect for employees, our neighbors and the natural environment.
